You will need to get on the schedule with them, they usually require at least 2-3 days prior to the transport to have the proper scheduling with the other client. You will have a lesser chance to have a transport if you give them short notice. When you schedule for a non-emergency transport you may need to provide some information.

The medical transport provider will ask for your complete address, so they will know where to pick you up. You also need to give them the complete name of the health care facility that you need to visit. You will also need to give them the phone number. They will also give you a reference number for your transport. They will also ask for the date and time of your appointment. They will also ask the purpose of your visit.

“ Non-Emergency Medical Transportation or NET is available to persons on Medicaid. The service provides transportation services to and from medical appointments. The service is free of charge for those who are eligible.

New Patients
All first time Medicaid eligible customers requesting NET service must have their eligibility verified with the Clermont County Department of Jobs and Family Services (DHFS). CTC contacts DJFS, but the verification process can take up to 24 hours. Customers may schedule a ride before CTC receives the verification, but customers may only travel within Clermont County and may have to pay for their ride. If a customer has been approved for services but does not use the service for several months, CTC is required to verify their Medicaid eligibility again before providing NET service. If a customer has Medicaid and moves from another county, they are required to switch the Medicaid registration with DJFS before CTC can provide any NET service.

Destinations
Passengers can be picked up anywhere in Clermont County and taken to any medical destination in Clermont, Hamilton, or Brown County.

Riding CTC’s NET Service

The bus may arrive 15 min before or after the scheduled pick up or drop off time

The bus will wait 5 min at the pick-up location

Passengers who have a service animal may bring it on the bus

The driver may help passengers on and off the bus and may help them secure their wheel chair, but under no circumstances will a driver enter a passenger’s home

Drivers cannot not sign clients out of medical facilities”

For people with disabilities or people attending psychiatric therapy, Medical transportation will be covered by the government. (Depending on what type of medical transport is needed) You might need to provide them the necessary documents to be included with the program.

If in case you have an emergency, you will be needing the service of a medical transport, you might need to pay them first, but you can be assured that they will reimburse the amount to you given that you provide the necessary documents like the receipt.

All non-emergency transportation must be authorized prior to payment; only emergency ambulance transportation can be reimbursed without a prior authorization.
